    About Surah Al-Layl

    Al-Layl, the Night, contrasts two kinds of people: the one who gives, is mindful of Allah, and believes in goodness, and the one who is stingy and turns away. It promises ease to the first and hardship to the second, teaching that our choices shape the path that opens before us.

    Surah Al-Layl (The Night)

    1. 92:1

      وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ

      Wallaili izaa yaghshaa

      قسم دى په شپه كله چې دا (هر شى) پټ كړي

    2. 92:2

      وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ

      Wannahaari izaa tajalla

      او په ورځ باندې كله چې روښانه شي

    3. 92:3

      وَمَا خَلَقَ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓ

      Wa maa khalaqaz zakara wal unthaa

      او په هغه ذات باندې چې نر او ښځه يې پیدا كړي دي

    4. 92:4

      إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ

      Inna sa'yakum lashattaa

      چې بېشكه ستاسو سعي (او عمل) خامخا بېل بېل دي

    5. 92:5

      فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَٱتَّقَىٰ

      Fa ammaa man a'taa wattaqaa

      نو هر چې هغه څوك دى چې وركړه كوي او وېرېږي

    6. 92:6

      وَصَدَّقَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

      Wa saddaqa bil husnaa

      او د ډېرې ښكلې كلمې تصدیق كوي

    7. 92:7

      فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ

      Fasanu yassiruhoo lilyusraa

      نو مونږ به ضرور ده ته د اسانې لارې اسانتیا وركړو

    8. 92:8

      وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ

      Wa ammaa mam bakhila wastaghnaa

      او هر چې هغه څوك دى چې بخیلي كوي او بې پروايي كوي

    9. 92:9

      وَكَذَّبَ بِٱلْحُسْنَىٰ

      Wa kazzaba bil husnaa

      او د ډېرې ښكلې كلمې تكذیب كوي (دروغ يې ګڼي)

    10. 92:10

      فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ

      Fasanu yassiruhoo lil'usraa

      نو مونږ به ضرور ده ته د سختې لارې اسانتیا وركړو

    11. 92:11

      وَمَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥٓ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰٓ

      Wa maa yughnee 'anhu maaluhooo izaa taraddaa

      او كله چې دى په كنده كې غورځېږي (هلاكېږي، نو) د ده مال به د ده هېڅ په كار رانشي

    12. 92:12

      إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ

      Inna 'alainaa lal hudaa

      بېشكه خاص زمونږ په ذمه خامخا لاره ښوول دي

    13. 92:13

      وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْءَاخِرَةَ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ

      Wa inna lanaa lal Aakhirata wal oolaa

      او بېشكه خاص زمونږ لپاره اخرت او دنیا ده (د دواړو اختيار دى)

    14. 92:14

      فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًۭا تَلَظَّىٰ

      Fa anzartukum naaran talazzaa

      نوما تاسو له داسې اوره ووېرولئ چې لمبې وهي

    15. 92:15

      لَا يَصْلَىٰهَآ إِلَّا ٱلْأَشْقَى

      Laa yaslaahaaa illal ashqaa

      ده ته به نه ننوځي مګر ترټولو بدبخته

    16. 92:16

      ٱلَّذِى كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

      Allazee kazzaba wa tawallaa

      هغه چې تكذیب يې كړى او مخ يې (له حقه) ګرځولى دى

    17. 92:17

      وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى

      Wa sa yujannnabuhal atqaa

      او له ده نه به خامخا لرې ساتلى شي ښه وېرېدونكى

    18. 92:18

      ٱلَّذِى يُؤْتِى مَالَهُۥ يَتَزَكَّىٰ

      Allazee yu'tee maalahoo yatazakkaa

      هغه چې خپل مال د دې لپاره وركوي چې پاك شي

    19. 92:19

      وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُۥ مِن نِّعْمَةٍۢ تُجْزَىٰٓ

      Wa maa li ahadin 'indahoo min ni'matin tujzaaa

      او له ده سره (د ده په غاړه) د هیچا لپاره څه نعمت (او احسان) نشته چې بدله يې وركولى شي

    20. 92:20

      إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

      Illab tighaaa'a wajhi rabbihil a 'laa

      مګر د خپل رب د مخ لټونې لپاره چې تر ټولو اوچت دى

    21. 92:21

      وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ

      Wa lasawfa yardaa

      او خامخا ژر به دى راضي شي`
