    Ash-Shams, the Sun, opens with a series of oaths by the sun, the moon, the day, and the night, building to the central truth: that the one who purifies his soul succeeds, and the one who corrupts it fails. It recalls the people of Thamud who killed the she-camel and met their ruin.

    1. 91:1

      وَٱلشَّمْسِ وَضُحَىٰهَا

      Wash shamsi wa duhaa haa

      قسم دى په لمر باندې او د هغه په رڼا باندې

    2. 91:2

      وَٱلْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَىٰهَا

      Wal qamari izaa talaa haa

      اوسپوږمۍ باندې كله چې په ده پسې وروسته راځي

    3. 91:3

      وَٱلنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّىٰهَا

      Wannahaari izaa jallaa haa

      او په ورځ باندې كله چې دغه (لمر) ښكاره كاندي

    4. 91:4

      وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰهَا

      Wallaili izaa yaghshaa haa

      او په شپه باندې كله چې دغه (لمر) پټ كاندي (په خپلو تیارو كې)

    5. 91:5

      وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا

      Wassamaaa'i wa maa banaahaa

      او په اسمان باندې او په هغه ذات چې دغه يې جوړ كړى دى

    6. 91:6

      وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَىٰهَا

      Wal ardi wa maa tahaahaa

      او په ځمكه باندې او په هغه ذات چې دغه (ځمكه) يې غوړولې ده

    7. 91:7

      وَنَفْسٍۢ وَمَا سَوَّىٰهَا

      Wa nafsinw wa maa sawwaahaa

      او په نفس باندې او په هغه ذات چې دغه يې ښه برابر كړى دى

    8. 91:8

      فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَىٰهَا

      Fa-alhamahaa fujoorahaa wa taqwaahaa

      نو ده ته يې د ده بدي او د ده تقوٰی (نېكي) الهام كړې (او ورښودلې) ده

    9. 91:9

      قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّىٰهَا

      Qad aflaha man zakkaahaa

      چې یقینًا كامیاب شو هغه څوك چې دغه (نفس) يې پاك كړ

    10. 91:10

      وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّىٰهَا

      Wa qad khaaba man dassaahaa

      او یقینًا نامراده شو هغه څوك چې دغه (نفس) يې په خاورو كې پټ كړ

    11. 91:11

      كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَىٰهَآ

      Kazzabat Samoodu bi taghwaahaaa

      ثمودیانو د خپلې سركشۍ په سبب (د رسولانو) تكذیب كړى و

    12. 91:12

      إِذِ ٱنۢبَعَثَ أَشْقَىٰهَا

      Izim ba'asa ashqaahaa

      كله چې د دوى لوى بدبخت راپورته شو

    13. 91:13

      فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ نَاقَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَسُقْيَٰهَا

      Faqaala lahum Rasoolul laahi naaqatal laahi wa suqiyaahaa

      نو دوى ته د الله رسول وویل: تاسو د الله اوښه او د هغې اوبه څښل پرېږدئ

    14. 91:14

      فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُم بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسَوَّىٰهَا

      Fakazzaboohu fa'aqaroohaa fadamdama 'alaihim Rabbuhum bizambihim fasaw waahaa

      نو دوى د هغه تكذیب وكړ (دروغجن يې وګاڼه) نو دوى د هغې پړكي (لينګي) پرې كړل (او مړه يې كړه) نو په دوى باندې د دوى رب د خپلو ګناهونو په سبب راګېروونكى عذاب راولېږه، نو دغه (ټول) يې (په هلاكت كې) برابر كړل

    15. 91:15

      وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَٰهَا

      Wa laa yakhaafu'uqbaahaa

      او دى (الله) د دغه (هلاكت او عذاب) له انجام نه نه وېرېږي
