- 111:1
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ
Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb
Ebu Leheb'in elleri kurusun; kurudu da!
- 111:2
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab
Malı ve kazandığı kendisine fayda vermedi.
- 111:3
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ
Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab
Alevli ateşe yaslanacaktır.
- 111:4
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
Wam ra-atuh hamma latal-hatab
Karısı da, boynunda bir ip olduğu halde ona odun taşıyacaktır.
- 111:5
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad
Karısı da, boynunda bir ip olduğu halde ona odun taşıyacaktır.
About Surah Al-Masad
Al-Masad, the Palm Fiber, addresses Abu Lahab, an uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who openly opposed him, and makes clear that his wealth and status would not save him. It stands as a reminder that hostility to the truth, however powerful, comes to nothing before Allah.
