تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ
Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb
Waxaa khasaaray Gacmihii Abuulahab, halaagmayna.
- 111:2
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab
Waxna uma tarin Xoolihiisii iyo wuxuu kasbadayna.
- 111:3
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ
Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab
Wuxuuna gali Naar Olal leh.
- 111:4
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
Wam ra-atuh hamma latal-hatab
Haweenaydiisii Qoryaha xambaari jirtayna (waxay gali Naar).
- 111:5
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad
Luqunteedana waxaa la yeeli Xadhig Liif ah.
About Surah Al-Masad
Al-Masad, the Palm Fiber, addresses Abu Lahab, an uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who openly opposed him, and makes clear that his wealth and status would not save him. It stands as a reminder that hostility to the truth, however powerful, comes to nothing before Allah.
