- 111:1
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ
Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb
Binasalah kedua tangan Abu Lahab dan sesungguhnya dia akan binasa.
- 111:2
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab
Tidaklah berfaedah kepadanya harta bendanya dan apa yang ia usahakan.
- 111:3
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ
Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab
Kelak dia akan masuk ke dalam api yang bergejolak.
- 111:4
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
Wam ra-atuh hamma latal-hatab
Dan (begitu pula) istrinya, pembawa kayu bakar.
- 111:5
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad
Yang di lehernya ada tali dari sabut.
About Surah Al-Masad
Al-Masad, the Palm Fiber, addresses Abu Lahab, an uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who openly opposed him, and makes clear that his wealth and status would not save him. It stands as a reminder that hostility to the truth, however powerful, comes to nothing before Allah.
