Surah Al-'Adiyat (undefined) is the 100th chapter of the Holy Quran. It was revealed in Mecca and contains 11 verses (ayahs). Read it below with the Arabic text, transliteration, and Persian translation, or open it as interactive flashcards to memorize it verse by verse.
- 100:1
وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحًۭا
Wal'aadi yaati dabha
سوگند به ماديانهائى كه با همهمه تازانند و با سم[هاى] خود از سنگ آتش مىجهانند!
- 100:2
فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًۭا
Fal moori yaati qadha
و برق [از سنگ] همى جهانند،
- 100:3
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًۭا
Fal mugheeraati subha
و صبحگاهان هجوم آرند،
- 100:4
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًۭا
Fa atharna bihee naq'a
و با آن [يورش]، گردى برانگيزند،
- 100:5
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا
Fawa satna bihee jam'a
و بدان [هجوم]، در دل گروهى درآيند،
- 100:6
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌۭ
Innal-insana lirabbihee lakanood
كه انسان نسبت به پروردگارش سخت ناسپاس است،
- 100:7
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌۭ
Wa innahu 'alaa zaalika la shaheed
و او خود بر اين [امر]، نيك گواه است.
- 100:8
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
Wa innahu lihubbil khairi la shadeed
و راستى او سخت شيفته مال است.
- 100:9
۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ
Afala ya'lamu iza b'uthira ma filquboor
مگر نمىداند كه چون آنچه در گورهاست بيرون ريخته گردد،
- 100:10
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ
Wa hussila maa fis sudoor
و آنچه در سينههاست فاش شود،
- 100:11
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ
Inna rabbahum bihim yauma 'izil la khabeer
در چنان روزى پروردگارشان به [حال] ايشان نيك آگاه است؟
About Surah Al-'Adiyat
Al-'Adiyat, the Coursers, opens with an oath by charging horses and uses the image to expose the ingratitude of the human being toward his Lord, and his intense love of wealth. It reminds the reader that what is hidden in the hearts will be brought out and made known on the Day of Judgment.
