- 99:1
إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا
Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha
Itakapo tetemeshwa ardhi kwa mtetemeko wake!
- 99:2
وَأَخْرَجَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha
Na itakapo toa ardhi mizigo yake!
- 99:3
وَقَالَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَا لَهَا
Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha
Na mtu akasema: Ina nini?
- 99:4
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
Yawmaa izin tuhad dithu akhbaaraha
Siku hiyo itahadithia khabari zake.
- 99:5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha
Kwa sababu Mola wake Mlezi ameifunulia!
- 99:6
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصْدُرُ ٱلنَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًۭا لِّيُرَوْا۟ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
Yawma iziy yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a'maalahum
Siku hiyo watu watatoka kwa mfarakano wakaonyweshwe vitendo vyao!
- 99:7
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًۭا يَرَهُۥ
Famaiy ya'mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah
Basi anaye tenda chembe ya wema, atauona!
- 99:8
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ شَرًّۭا يَرَهُۥ
Wa maiy-y'amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah
Na anaye tenda chembe ya uovu atauona!

Az-Zalzalah, the Earthquake, describes the violent shaking of the earth on the Last Day, when it pours out its burdens and tells its news. It then gives one of the most quoted lines in the Quran: whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
