- 104:1
وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ
Wai lul-li kulli hu mazatil-lumaza
Ole wake kila safihi, msengenyaji!
- 104:2
ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ
Al-lazi jama'a maalaw wa'addadah
Aliye kusanya mali na kuyahisabu.
- 104:3
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ
Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah
Anadhani ya kuwa mali yake yatambakisha milele!
- 104:4
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ
Kalla layum ba zanna fil hutamah
Hasha! Atavurumishwa katika H'ut'ama.
- 104:5
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ
Wa maa adraaka mal-hutamah
Na nani atakujuvya ni nini H'ut'ama?
- 104:6
نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ
Narul laahil-mooqada
Moto wa Mwenyezi Mungu ulio washwa.
- 104:7
ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ
Al latee tat tali'u 'alalafidah
Ambao unapanda nyoyoni.
- 104:8
إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ
Innaha 'alaihim moosada
Hakika huo utafungiwa nao
- 104:9
فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ
Fee 'amadim-mu mad dadah
Kwenye nguzo zilio nyooshwa.

Al-Humazah, the Slanderer, condemns the one who slanders and mocks others and hoards wealth, thinking it will make him last forever. It warns of a consuming fire for such a person, a sharp reminder that ridicule and greed carry real consequences.
