ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
Al qaari'ah
खड़खड़ाने वाली
- 101:2
مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
Mal qaariah
वह खड़खड़ाने वाली क्या है
- 101:3
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
Wa maa adraaka mal qaari'ah
और तुम को क्या मालूम कि वह खड़खड़ाने वाली क्या है
- 101:4
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ
Yauma ya koonun naasu kal farashil mabthooth
जिस दिन लोग (मैदाने हश्र में) टिड्डियों की तरह फैले होंगे
- 101:5
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ
Wa ta koonul jibalu kal 'ihnil manfoosh
और पहाड़ धुनकी हुई रूई के से हो जाएँगे
- 101:6
فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Fa-amma man thaqulat mawa zeenuh
तो जिसके (नेक आमाल) के पल्ले भारी होंगे
- 101:7
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ
Fahuwa fee 'ishatir raadiyah
वह मन भाते ऐश में होंगे
- 101:8
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ
Wa amma man khaffat mawa zeenuh
और जिनके आमाल के पल्ले हल्के होंगे
- 101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ
Fa-ummuhu haawiyah
तो उनका ठिकाना न रहा
- 101:10
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ
Wa maa adraaka maa hiyah
और तुमको क्या मालूम हाविया क्या है
- 101:11
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ
Naarun hamiyah
वह दहकती हुई आग है

Al-Qari'ah, the Striking Calamity, names one of the terms for the Day of Judgment and pictures people scattered like moths and mountains like carded wool. It describes the weighing of deeds, where the one whose scales are heavy with good lives in a pleasant life, and the one whose scales are light meets a different end.
