Part of verse 114 of Surah Ta-Ha.
It is a short, direct prayer asking Allah to increase one in knowledge. Students and seekers of knowledge recite it before studying and throughout their lives, since it is a supplication taught by Allah Himself in the Quran.

فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۗ وَلَا تَعْجَلْ بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُقْضَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَحْيُهُۥ ۖ وَقُل رَّبِّ زِدْنِى عِلْمًۭا
Fata'aalal laahul Malikul Haqq; wa laa ta'jal bil Quraani min qabli ai yuqdaaa ilaika wahyuhoo wa qur Rabbi zidnee 'ilmaa
نو اوچت دى الله حق بادشاه دى او ته په (لوستلو د) قرآن سره تلوار مه كوه مخكې له دې چې تا ته د ده وحي پوره كړى شي او ته وایه: اى زما ربه ما ته (زما) په علم كې زیاتوالى راكړې
